【Rapid Nucleic Acid Test of Coronavirus】Cepheid has developed an automated molecular test for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The test can provide rapid detection of the current pandemic coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in approximately 45 minutes with less than a minute of hands on time to prepare the sample. Cepheid’s Xpert® Xpress SARS-CoV-2 kits has received Emergency Use Authorization from US FDA. Progressive Group Inc. also has received TFDA’s Emergency USE Authorization on import of the kit on April 8, 2020.

Cepheid公司開發了一項新型冠狀病毒的快速分子檢驗試劑Xpress ® SARS-CoV-2，於美國時間3月21日，美國食品與藥物管理局(FDA)宣布批准上市，成為全球第一個被美國FDA批准新型冠狀病毒分子診斷快篩試劑。該檢驗試劑用於定性檢測SARS-CoV-2（引起COVID-19的病毒），約45分鐘內便可獲得結果，且不用一分鐘即可完成檢體上樣，操作者無須接受任何特殊訓練即可進行測試。
目前傳統的分子診斷系統，檢測樣本必須送往指定的中央實驗室化驗，需要數小時至數日不等的時間後才知道結果。Cepheid GeneXprt Dx System是全球床邊照護分子診斷(POCT MDx)的領導品牌，樣本可以隨來隨做(On-Demand)，該系統將檢體核酸的萃取、試劑配製、基因擴增與檢測結果判讀，完全整合為一步法快速分子診斷檢測系統，有效提升篩檢效率。目前該系統在全球已超過2萬3千台在使用。
